The sun came out for us after a grey cool week. A good turnout for activities and a presentation on Early Language Development by Julianna Sanchez from First 5 Alameda. With lots of toddlers and infants in attendance and in constant motion we were very impressed by her ability  adapt to the crowd and location, giving an engaging, informative presentation about nurturing early language with helpful, fun tips and examples. She brought a wealth of First 5 information for parents and some wonderful books to give to very young children. It was a privilege and a treat to have her join us!

Activities were ably led by Activity Leader Jenn, assisted by two dynamite young teenagers. A general helper who came to us through HATCH Community in Oakland pitched in on a variety of tasks. Plenty of Z-Bars donated by Clif Bar along with fresh fruit (thank you Lifelong Medical!) were consumed. All in all, a good day at the Park for us.
